Iftar Under the Stars 2023

This weekend has seen many people come together to celebrate Easter, Passover and Ramadan with the cross over of this happening only once every 30 years. On Saturday 7th Basingstoke Scout Group hosted an Iftar under the stars event for the local community. Building on the success of last years event, over 150 adults and young people came together to listen to poems, pray and break their fast with the local Imam from Albirr Foundation Mosque. Once the fast was broken, everyone came together to eat their first meal after sunset (known as Iftar). The young people enjoyed games, a bouncy castle and the making of smores on a fire led by the 7th Basingstoke leaders and was a great introduction to Scouting for all.
